Ian was born in Ipswich on 18th July 1979 and as he grew, his traits of love to others became apparent. Throughout his life he made many friends, both locally and internationally.

In 1981, the family moved to Malvern, in Worcestershire, and one day he said, “Dad, could you take me to go and see some rabbits,” I told him we would need to get up really early, to which he agreed and was really excited to go. It was spring time, so we arrived at a pond at the foot of the Malvern Hills on the following morning. The sun was rising, and to his delight numerous rabbits were running around. We also saw some unusual birds nearby. His love of the outdoors continued into adulthood.

He did many expeditions with School and Boys Brigade which he loved. One memorable one was on Dartmoor when blizzards fell and prevented the teams completing the course. They were rescued by the army for safety reasons, which annoyed Ian because the finishing post was in sight.

Ian had set his heart on becoming an Architect and having the necessary qualifications from college and a foundation Course, he applied to the University of East London, which he claimed “Was the Best”, and on completion, he gained a 1st for his degree. As was necessary to gain experience, for his training he went to work in San Francisco. After qualifying at the Architects Academy, he went to work in New York for a few years. Since then and on return to England, he has been employed within notable architectural companies where his services were valued and the staff liked and respected him.

About 10 years ago, Ian met Meera, soon they got married on the Ravens Ait Island on the river Thames. It was a colourful event with the true Hindu proceedings taking place and a Christian service taken by his Uncle Peter.
